Please note that death is mentioned first because more tongues speak death over life. We live in a world where there is more evil spoken of than good, therefore negative talk has become a way of life for most people. In this scenario being a part of the minority is a good thing because we speak life and we have a very positive outlook on life in general. So the verse says 'they that love it will eat the fruit thereof,' therefore life has its own fruit and so does death. The question is: "What fruit are you eating?" Because you become what you eat, so lets strive to speak life and eat the fruit of life and love it! Be blessed... 

In this life we would like to believe that everything will always be perfect and free of challenges but in reality things will happen that will shake our faith. Sometimes when crisis comes we cannot even find the right words to pray, but the words of a friend can bring comfort and heal our wounds. Together we can pray and go to God's word for guidance and strength but that encouraging word can make a whole world of difference. Next time someone in your life is facing a crisis, speak an encouraging word in their lives to uplift their spirit. God could use you to bring forth a positive change. Be blessed!     
 

Lord, we cry out to You this morning and ask You to comfort Dinelle's  loved ones. No one is ever prepared for death, especially a young mom who only one week ago gave birth to a healthy baby. I could not help but reflect on the story of Rachel in the bible, mother of Joseph and after she gave birth to Benjamin she passed. While growing up there were many things that we could not understand about death, sickness, lack etc. and whenever we asked our mother for an explanation she always said when we get to heaven all our questions will be answered. And guess what? I take the same approach with my kids up to this day, because I still don't have all the answers. But one thing I know for sure is that we serve a God who cares about our pain and He is there to comfort us and has promised that He will never leave us or forsake us. RIP Dinelle and as your family reflect on precious memories of you may God unfold your purpose and why you were only given to them for a season. Please continue to pray for this family.

The burst of sunshine is a reminder that it's a new day and we are alive! God is amazing and we have so much to thank Him for - today! Let us start today with an attitude of Praise, however you start your day sets the tone for the rest of the day, so starting your day right is extremely important. When I read this verse I cannot help but think of this song of Praise; "I will enter His courts with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with praise, I will say this is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice cause He has made me glad." Yes He has! Folks, it's a Holiday Weekend, stay safe and remember how you start your day, your week, your month, your year sets the tone for what direction your life will take, start with a burst of sunshine in your heart and the Lord by your side! Believe it or not, but we are all in a race in this life, we are constantly on the go, I go so fast that I've been labeled to wear 'roller-skates' figuratively. Women, this hurried lifestyle has become a way of life for us and many times without even realizing it we go ahead of the Lord. Cant wait because He's not moving fast enough! One example of not waiting on the Lord was when I got married for the 2nd time; I got my 6 kids from my first marriage but it also came with severe pain, abuse and rejection, so the 2nd time I decided that I would do it right. Wrong! I was left drained, depressed, stressed, sick, acquired blood pressure and nearly lost my life. But though I didn't wait on the Lord He saw my heart and knew that I was ready to finally wait on Him. He renewed my strength and energy and I no longer run this race alone but He partners with me and He's always in the lead and though I follow---I soar with my Eagle wings and I no longer grow tired and weary! To God be the glory! Be blessed...

This is a sequel to yesterday's post. So if you did not read it take a quick read so you can understand the correlation. So you might wonder why didn't I feature a scripture on healing if my blood pressure was off the charts. Well God put Psalm 34:1 in my heart during the crisis and I needed that verse at that time because I've come to realize that sometimes when we're in the valley, praise and worship is what will get us out. However, today the Lord speaks to me loud and clear; 'Fear Not my child for I am with you, don't be sad and depressed because I am your God, I will keep you strong... Last night was warfare but today is Peace. God has calmed, embraced and protected me, He has uphold me with His righteous, right hand and I am at peace with Him. The walk for a Believer is not without challenges, but the Lord reminds us that He has overcome the world and we can too... So for many, many years like most of my siblings I was the last one to have blood pressure issues. I remember when it started I was constantly in the ER, but I have learned to stabilize it when it spikes. Well last night I ate something I know I should not have eaten and it went through the roof. Of course it was an opening for the enemy to attack and he quickly showed up with a bag filled with fear, I didn't allow them to take root, as I continuously repeated; "The blood of Jesus." Then the Lord dropped Psalm 34:1 in my spirit: "I will bless the Lord at ALL times, His praises shall continually be in my mouth and I chimed in for how long? And answered right back Forever, and ever and ever...I Believed this, spoke it and meditated on it until I fell asleep. Of course the enemy disappeared with his fear tactics and God replaced it with Faith in Him! Be blessed...

Do we really get this? Our priority is to seek God first and His righteousness and ALL these things --- what does things represent in your life? House, cars, career, successful marriage, education, money, family, etc. Well when you seek God first all this stuff will be given to you. His word says it and I believe it! Be blessed...  

It's a new day and we're requiring that our soul and everything else in us praise the Lord, because He is worthy to be praised. It's a great way to start each day because we are alive and well and God has preserved our lives for yet another day! Be blessed...

Wow, Fear - is a spirit - and not of God. Lets walk in what He has given us; Power, Love and a Sound Mind. Fear is the most common and persistent visitor to our lives, we must continue to shut the door on it and with God's help, aim to live FREE of it!

Isn't it comforting to know that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God, it's recorded right here in His Word and I believe it, do you? However, here is an interesting fact; You are the only one who can separate you from the love of God because God has given you the ability to choose. Think on these things. Be blessed...

Folks, God's Promises are so real, He's not supplying a fraction of our needs but He's going All the way, to supply us with All we need. Like Pastor Ricky Bookal says; the currency that is used here on earth to access what we need is money, but the currency used in the Spirit World to access what God has in store for us is Faith! Always remember that God will do His part if we only have Faith! Many of us have experienced our little ones running into our arms because they were scared of the dark. Remember the joy you felt as you made them feel secure and safe again? Their tight grips finally became loose and the sobbing faded away as they regained their composure. When we run to God His arms are always open wide to receive us, we immediately feel safe and we want to stay in His presence forever and ever and ever.

Despite the distraction that Joshua was surrounded by: false gods, rebellion and the unwavering followers who would bow down and worship God yet when things would not go as expected they would become frustrated and argue. Yet Joshua set himself and his family apart and was not moved by the indecisiveness of the crowd. He coined a slogan that is hung in buildings all around the world, because he was totally devoted to serving God and he took a stand. Are you taking a stand for the slogan or are you taking a stand for God??? Be blessed...  

Are you as excited about this verse as I am to know that Goodness and Mercy will literally chase us down for the rest of our lives. Do you believe this? Because, I do!!! It's not for a season, its FOREVER! Step out in confidence and know that God has your back and don't forget to be in the House of the Lord--- For how long? FOREVER! Be blessed...  

I see a very personalized relationship in Psalm 23:1, because God is my Shepherd, my Leader, my Pilot, no good thing will He withhold from me, so I will never want for anything. After I became a single mom, there were times when the fridge was empty and the cupboards were bare, but God miraculously provided food in time for the next meal so the kids never went hungry. Gods word is true, so believe it with all your heart. Be blessed... 

What is your 'thought-life' like, what is it captivated by? God has not robotized us and left us to figure it out, but instead He has outlined what our thought pattern should look like. May not be easy especially living in a visual world where what we see become our thoughts but we have to consciously transform our thoughts and refocus on what has been outlined in Philippians 4:8. There goes that dominant word again; 'all.' Don't wait for tragedy to come knocking at your door before you seek the Lord. Talk to Him about everything and talk to Him from anywhere; while you're driving, working, socializing, entertaining, exercising, dining, at school, getting dressed, in the hospital or in prison. God is accessible and you can reach him wherever you are. Seek Him, Talk to Him, Pray to Him, Sing to Him, Worship Him, just Acknowledge Him and He will Guide you. Be blessed...     

Raising six kids singlehandedly was no walk in the park, it was hard, yet joyful but God strengthened me for the journey. My 1st job after becoming a single mom was a manager in a leading weight loss company, most nights I'd get home between 10-10:30, I would check home-work, do laundry, make dinner for the following day, clean up the house and some nights I'd be mopping at 2:00am and I'd feel a burst of energy. It just didn't make logical sense, but there's nothing logical about God! I knew the strength I've been fueled with over the years is from Him. Philippians 4:13 became one of our favorite family scripture verses, it's been written on our hearts and demonstrated in our actions and we give God the glory! I pray that as you walk through life's journey nothing too great or too small will test you but instead you will go through life with God's unfailing promise: "You can do ALL things because I give you STRENGTH!!! Be blessed...
  

Mothers picture your little one asking you for a gift, more than likely you would give it to him. What is even more interesting though is the level of belief that child has in you, even before he asks he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that he will get that gift. Next time you pray, seek the Lord with that child-like faith knowing that when you Ask/Seek & Knock the Lord hears and answers, but you MUST BELIEVE! Be blessed...    
 

At some point in our lives we've had to call some of these #'s and if you ever have a crisis, please don't hesitate to call. God's line is never busy and He will answer us when we call. I remember calling out to Him one night when my kids and I were in a very dark place and instantly the scene changed. God showed up and the enemy was crippled. It's because I have direct access to Him and I use it. Do you?   

What powerful promises from the Almighty, let's hold unto them and walk confidently into what God has declared over our lives. Have a blessed day! 

Women tend to be 'Worriers.' Worry brings on stress and stress brings on sickness. Let's begin to pray about everything and put all of our cares and concerns on the Lord and He will take our burden allowing us to live a stress-free life. Be blessed!

Two weeks ago I listened to one of Joyce Meyer's heartrending sexual abuse encounters with her father, and I was affixed to the television as I wept.

I love this woman and I thank God for her Empowering Testimony, but right there I cried out to God, "God what is my purpose, what do you want me to do?" And it was as though an audible response came immediately; "Your Ministry has always been Women, you need to start a Blog."

And through the tears I started saying; "I don't even know how to blog," but that excuse changed immediately when I thought that I'll be 60 in less than 4 months. There's no way I'm going to continue living without actively fulfilling my life's purpose.

Then I thought of my Precious Little Angel who was translated to Heaven on August 16, 2015 and though she didn't have an opportunity to take a breath of fresh air on earth she fulfilled her life's purpose as her name is engraved on a cuddle cot in a hospital in San Diego CA where mothers have a chance to bond with their stillbirth babies while in the hospital. The morning ended with a commitment to do this blog as unto the Lord - for women, but also for my Precious Angel, Joislen Grace.

It is said that the graveyard is the richest place on earth as it is filled with unfulfilled dreams and undiscovered talents.

My story is nothing short of a miracle, as God showed up for me time and time again but for many years I kept running. In 2010 when I almost died from multiple blood clots, I gave up the race and completely surrendered to God. I am currently in a ministry where the word of God is taught in its entirety and a member of an 'Upper Room Prayer Group' where I often witness the manifestation of the Holy Spirit.

I raised my 6 kids single-handedly when my husband of 14 years fled from the responsibilities of parenthood. Challenging though it was, today all six of my kids are making a positive contribution to society. I have spoken numerous times to women's groups here in the United States and also in Jamaica. My message always imparts that 'Our children are our greatest investment.

I have written and published 6 books, 5 of which are available on Amazon. I have had a passion for women ever since I wrote and published my 1st book in 1996, Crosses To Bear, Love to Share/A Dedication to Single Mothers. After two failed marriages, I have finally landed the right partner and am assured that this partner will never use or abuse, disrespect or neglect, threaten or disgrace me. Instead, he has promised never to leave me or forsake me and to provide, protect and guide me. He has promised to love me with an everlasting love and this is the relationship that has caused me to shine, and which I want to share Jesus with every woman I meet.

My goal is that women will use this blog as a forum to share, unload, unwind, de-stress, uplift, encourage, motivate, inspire, laugh, cry, create a desire to study the Word, pray, and find the peace which only comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and ultimately fulfilling their life's purpose.  

If you are a Victorious Woman today, God sees and knows your value, it's far more than rubies and diamonds and pearls, you are priceless in God's eyes. Today I encourage you to walk in His Greatness knowing that you are Royalty. Be blessed!

Mother's Day Surprise For A Mother Who Gives Endlessly

"Stopping by Mommy Cherry's house is not unusual as I was only there yesterday. She was standing outside speaking with another of her many daughters when we casually joined the conversation. We chatted for a while and before long Mommy Cherry was leading us in prayer, so as she prayed for all the Mothers she closed by asking God to surprise us." She had no idea that there was a surprise waiting for her in the car. She was moved to tears. What a great way to start the Mother's Day weekend, to bring joy to someone who's always pouring into the lives of others."
